About VUELTA
In 1997, Jürgen Müller turned his passion for Spain into his profession and founded the company VUELTA Cycle and Hiking Trips. The longtime experience he gained on numerous trips to Spain, his education as a landscape planner, and his knowledge of nature protection and landscape conservation are an asset for his profession today. Having organized active travels for more than ten years, VUELTA became a specialist for cycling and hiking trips in Spain and on the Saint James' Way. We are happy about the rising number of satisfied customers and would like to thank you for your positive valuations we have received within the last years. They encourage us to continue our way as a specialized tour operator for active travels.
Our philosophy
Activity and recreation
Experience nature and get to know foreign cultures in the different regions of northern Spain! Enjoy both on one of our hiking or cycling trips! However, our trips are not all about exercise. You will always have enough time to take a walk through the city, enjoy nature, or simply relax true to the motto: “The journey is the reward”.
Get to know customs and culture
In addition to the active component we also want to give you an insight into the culture and history of northern Spain. Therefore, we offer you an introductory course with information literature, guided tours, and sightseeing trips. Just by the way you will gain insight into the customs and culinary specialties of the local population on our journeys.
Well planned and individually
We offer accompanied tours as well as individual tours. The accompanied tours are accompanied by qualified, English-speaking guides who are passionate about Spain and some of them have been living in Spain for many years! On accompanied trips these guides will drive the support vehicle and be at you beck and call throughout the trip. You will always travel within small groups only, which leaves you plenty of room for personal wishes and spontaneous decisions.
At the beginning of your individual tour we will provide you with a detailed information package (including map material, route descriptions, information on sights). And of course there will always be an English-speaking contact person throughout the trip.
Environmentally-sensitive tourism
Intending to enjoy our travel destinations in the future just like today we have set ourselves the goal to carry out our trips in an ethically fair, socially compatible, and ecologically acceptable way. We aim an environmentally-sensitive tourism respecting habits and customs of the local population and trying to preserve our natural environment in a long run. These guidelines significantly influence our choice of destinations, and travel planning.
Comfortable accommodations
Regarding our hotel selection, we payed attention not to choose anonymous chain hotels. Generally, we selected smaller, familial hotels and charming guest houses with individual character.
Our guides
Our trips are accompanied by guides, who are passionate about Spain, and some of them have been living in Spain for many years. Some trips are personally accompanied by Jürgen Müller, the proprietor of VUELTA. Apart from commonly known facts about Spanish scenery, nature, art history, and traditions our guides may also tell you stories you won't find easily in any guidebook.
Individual offers
